I currently have a problem with both thumbs, ring fingers, and middle fingers. Will see hand specialist next week. It can be associated with arthritis and might not be.

2009年10月13日 · Osteoarthritis(the arthritis of aging) will affect the outer most joints of the fingers but doesn't affect the hand knuckles as much and the base of the thumb and rarely the wrist. Rheumatoid arthritis doesn't affect the outer most joints but does affect the hand knuckles and the whole wrist.

Doctors thought I was having a CTS flareup after shoulder surgery, turns out that it was not in fact the problem it was c4-c7 being herniated with c6-c7 crushing the nerves.

I am a 48 year old male and three years ago I began to notice a stiffness in the joints of both hands, specifically at the knuckle of my middle fingers. Over a period of several months the stiffness gradually grew to become acute pain whenever I would try to make a fist or flex my fingers.

And the joint gets big on one side and makes it look like it's bending out but it's an illusion from the build up of bone on the inside of the joint. I have them too on most of the fingers ...

Arthritis, ganglion cysts, infected hair follicle, tick or spider bite...etc. Never hurts to see a doc to ensure your remain healthy.

He popped it and a very thick clear fluid drained out (like Karo Syrup). He didn't seem to think much of it and said it was due to a trauma to the finger.

The middle finger on my left hand started hurting a little bit the same way - that's been going on for about 10 days now. In December I had a bout of ankle pain only on my right leg.

2009年3月30日 · Slammed hand in a car door. About five days ago, I slammed my hand in the car door. The 4th and 5th metacarpals of my left hand took most of the impact. I got an x-ray, and nothing is broken, thankfully. However, I still have a strange knot-like swelling on what feels like a muscle right under the pinkie knuckle on the back of my hand.
