This basically means full frontal, chest and up (face is at least 2/3 of the height of photo), dress is at least something with a collar (for men), professional background (ie, white, etc), sized to fit a passport/ID.

2018年6月17日 · Definitely upload one. It may not seem like a big deal, but it is good to do. I went to Walgreen’s or CVS and paid $10 for a passport photo in business attire. They can put it on a flash drive for you. Someone around you probably (hopefully) has a similar option.

2007年10月7日 · edit: smiling is no longer banned for US passport photos apparently, but most place that take your picture don't know this. it still has to be a "natural expression" however. apparently scrunched eyes or cheeks from smiling interfere with facial recognition software security uses. still banned in the UK though.

2010年5月3日 · After taking the photo, open up a photo editing program (Photoshop, Gimp, whatever) and crop out a square that contains your shoulders up to a few inches above the head. Your nose should be near the middle of the square. If you do it right, this crop should still be quite high resolution. Save a copy of this photo.
