It looks great from a distance but when you come closer you start seeing so much more. Small hermit crabs, the numerous Bisma worms, the coral, and so many other critters.

This was used as a breeding ground for worms, pods and microfauna of all kinds. I would stir up parts of the sand once a week to release microfauna.

After further research, this is actually a cephastrea than porites. I live in Australia and we are blessed with alot of variety of corals at a decent price, this one cost me $200 AUD.

2015年6月10日 · Did some digging around. It is a sand dwelling, non photosynthetic from what I was able to find. Seems to be one of the hardier soft nps corals though. I would say it should be fine as long as you keep up with its feeding requirements. It seems to be somewhat similar to a carnation coral. Dec 12, 2017. #3. OP.

2020年7月19日 · Coral is usually porities, sometimes cyphastrea. Keeping the coral alive isn't absolutely necessary for worm survival, but it does seem to help. If you have fan worms propagating in your tank then there is adequate food for the x-mas worms also.

("Usually ships with several...") 2) You can get them as hitch hikers on live rock or coral, and in a healthy tank, they will multiply and spread.
